Hearts pound, excitement floods. We take to the skies today, chasing the midnight sun.

As legend goes, the Norse goddess, Gefjun, was offered as much land as she could plough in a single day and night. Transforming her four sons into oxen, she took the earth with all of her might. And so, Copenhagen was born.

After an early morning breakfast, we board our flight to Kangerlussuaq, the gateway to Greenland. From here, an onward flight takes us to Ilulissat.
The ‘Town of Icebergs’, Ilulissat is a snow globe of tiny, coloured rooftops inside a frosty dome. Shake the snowflakes loose. The world’s most northerly luxury hotel, the Arctic Hotel is situated on the cusp of the Ilulissat Icefjord, near Disko Bay. From here, magical icy vistas abound for three nights.
By tuk tuk, venture to the iceberg studded shore surrounding the Zion Church and visit the birthplace, now museum, of native polar explorer and anthropologist Knud Rasmussen.
A guided walk later takes us to meet working dogs. After a Greenlandic dinner at Hvide Falk Restaurant, board a midnight sun cruise amid the Ilulissat Icefjord.
Ease into your worldly schedule today with a selection of fascinating Your World experiences.
Tonight we experience the authentic traditions and tenacity of the Inuit during a dinner and cultural evening.

This afternoon, our ship cuts across the Firth of Forth. We are bound for the North Sea.
It’s our final day on the ocean. Reflect in the wake of all that we have discovered. The evening brings the unique privilege of gliding up the famous River Thames. Watch in awe as the bright lights of the British capital draw closer, before our ship drifts beneath the London Tower Bridge. Aglow in the light of dusk, the water beneath our vessel glitters a friendly welcome to one of the world’s most famous cities.
